My friend has a chance to buy a LeClerc Minerva 8 shaft. Would you be willing to contact me so I could ask you a couple of questions?
Ruthie
Where did you get Minerva upgrade parts? And why does the box say Nilus? I really want to upgrade my 4 harness Minerva and I can’t figure out how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
At the time I purchased the parts there was still a local Los Angeles weaving shop, that was also a LeClerc authorized dealer, so I purchased the parts there. But you can go straight to Leclerc for parts.
The web site, English (the have French and English) side: http://www.leclerclooms.com/ind_eng.htm.
This includes a dealer list if you want to buy local.
Tom Beaudet the US Leclerc Technical Adviser, t.beaudet@verizon.net is very nice and extremely helpful.
Another place is Camilla Valley Farm Weaver’s Supply – http://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/. I’ve bought stuff from them and they sell LeClerc parts. Their LeClerc resourse page is: http://www.leclercweavinglooms.com/.
Hope this helps some. If you have any questions drop an email. The upgrade was an interesting adventure.
Hi, I stumbled across your blog this morning and am thoroughly impressed. I have a question about growing woad, is there any way I could email you? Thanks for your time.
Sorry this reply is so late. Yes, my email is jamison@pair.com. I’ve had a lot of help from the yahoo woad growers group and two other woad growing sites, ‘All about woad’ and Rowan’s woad page.
Hey Jamie — Woad eh? Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that you’re fussing with fiber while paint dried. Lost all my email addresses awhile back. I’ve been knitting newspaper. How are you, Suzanne
I’m fine, keeping busy. Did you need anyone’s email address?
